Krzysztof Błędowski
Krzysztof Błędowski is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in studying industrial markets, finances and transformations of developing countries. He currently holds the post of Senior Council Director and Economist at Manufacturers Alliance in Arlington, Virginia, which educates future managers of large industrial conglomerates.
In the past, his career involved working on aid programs for African countries at the International Monetary Fund. In Europe, he established a strategy unit at the Pioneer First Polish Trust Fund. Similarly, he has on numerous occasions been engaged in voluntary work. He sat on the Board of Directors of the National Economists Club in Washington as its President and as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and also on the boards of the Association of Polish Economists, Boston Association of Business Economists, Polish Socio-Cultural Association (Boston) and the Polish-American Congress (Eastern Massachusetts Division). Currently, he sits on the Supervisory Board of the Polish Scientific Institute in New York as its Treasurer.
During the two last years, Krzysztof designed a marketing campaign and attracted hundreds of new members in the newly established “network membership category” for middle-level managers, and also created a new series of workshops to provide additional education to personnel managing large industrial enterprises. He designed and organised discussion panels of a number of conferences which debated the improvement of transatlantic relations. He also joined a group of regular columnists offering opinions on global political and economic trends in Carnegie Europe, a US think-tank.
