Prof. Bogumił Kamiński, PhD at SGH - unique mind with an impressive scientific acquis  He has been assigned the role of the leader of research projects (foreign and national) as well as initiatives combining science and economic practice for many years. In 2020-2023 term of office he holds the position of Member of the Committee of Statistics and Econometrics PAN.

He represents SGH in many international organizations, such as: CLAIRE Research Network, association of 362 European laboratories operating in the area of theory development and application of methods of artificial intelligence as well as ESSA Open Labs Initiative, organization associating 15 European research laboratories, enabling exchange of scientific and student crews under research over the use of simulation methods for testing social processes.

He is a co-organizer and member of international research centre "Computational Methods in Industrial Mathematics", launched under Fields Institute, Toronto, Canada, specializing in transfers of scientific research results for economic practice.

Under the JuliaData group he is the key developer of DataFrames.jl software - the core tool for data processing used in the programming language Julia (generally applied both in science and in business).

Prof. Kamiński keenly participates in realization (on behalf of the Warsaw School of Economics) of expert and training projects, among others, for the National Bank of Poland, PGNiG, Polish Post. As economist he was involved in the project “Maps of health needs  – Database of System and Implementation Analyses” co-financed by the European Union from resources of the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development (works realized for the benefit of the Ministry of Health).
