Jarosław Zimnoch
Jarosław Zimnoch recognized the market opportunity and trends emerging in promoting healthy lifestyles, and so, in 2006, together with his wife and brother, he founded a family business under the name of Domowe Sanatorium – Zimnoch sp.j.
It provides services in marketing, distribution and after-sales care of household products. Domowe Sanatorium has more than 20 full-time employees, its own headquarters of more than 1,500 square meters and a 100-square-meter sales office in Warsaw. It represents six brands in the home appliance industry, including Kuvings (juice squeezers from South Korea), LotusGrill, Blendtec (the world's most durable blenders 'MADE IN USA'). Its annual turnover remains close to PLN 30 million. Its value has increased 500-fold over the 18 years of its operations. The business is the leading distributor of the Kuvings brand in Europe, and after the Korean (i.e., home market) and the US, it ranks third in the world. It has more than 200,000 satisfied customers. The process innovation created by the company, in the form of a 10-year warranty, has become a recognized (and exemplary) mark of quality.
The business founded by Jarosław Zimnoch has been recognized as a Reliable Company (continuously a part of the programme since 2010) and received awards at the 2023 Forbes Family Business Forum: “Eagles” of the Wprost Weekly (2017), “Business Gazelles” (2017, 2021, 2022) of the Puls Biznesu Daily, “Golden Consumer Laurel” for the Kuvings brand (every year since 2014, currently nominated for the 20th Anniversary Laurel); and this year the business was nominated in the “2024 Business Leaders” category by the National Bureau of Economic Promotion and Certification.
In 2017, the business systematized the issue of financial support for charitable causes by supporting, among others, collections on SiePomaga, the Noble Gift campaign, the Little Feet Foundation, and the construction of the “House of Angels” Hospice by the Heart to Heart Foundation. Using a top-down budget allocated for charity, Domowe Sanatorium – Zimnoch sp. j. is able to support dozens of initiatives. Under the Kuvings Team slogan, the business has also granted sports scholarships to several athletes, including ice skaters Patrycja Maliszewska and Natalia Maliszewska, and athletes Maria Andrejczyk and Patryk Dobek.
The business cares about the environment while pursuing economic interests. They installed PV panels on buildings, added thermal upgrades, use hybrid cars, and follow a paperless policy.
Domowe Sanatorium – Zimnoch sp.j. is a member of the Social Enterprise Council of the Wasilków Municipality. Also, as a sponsor, through in-kind donations, it participates in the Wasilków Municipality's famous PIT lottery. Jarosław Zimnoch contributes as a member of the Polish Economic Society and the Talent Pastoral Care of Entrepreneurs.
‘In the 20 years since I left the walls of the Warsaw School of Economics as a graduate, I have managed to build a business that, although located in a small town of Wasilków in Podlasie, which is a dream to live in, has successfully established business contacts on three continents. It provides stable, and financially and ambitionally satisfying work for both the Management Board and dozens of Employees. It positively impacts the health of its customers, local community initiatives, and occasionally even Olympic successes. Which was just a dream before SGH, and crystallized as a plan during studies. And then after studies, largely thanks to SGH, it became a reality and, I hope, also an inspiration,’ says Jarosław Zimnoch.
