Information on the Processing of Personal Data
1. Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, with its registered office at al. Niepodległości 162, 02-554 Warsaw.
2.Data Protection Officer
The data controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer who supervises the lawful processing of personal data. The Officer can be contacted via the following email address: iod@sgh.waw.pl.
3.Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing
The legal basis for processing your personal data is the performance of public tasks (Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR [1], in connection with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science).
4.Purpose of Personal Data Processing
The data will be processed for the purpose of selecting the laureates of the SGH Alumni Title “SGH Leader” in 2026.
5.Voluntary Provision of Data
Providing your data is voluntary, but necessary to fulfil the purposes indicated in point 4. Failure to provide personal data means that it will not be possible to nominate candidates for the SGH Alumni Title “SGH Leader” in 2026.
6.Recipients of Data
If the controller uses the services of other entities, personal data may be disclosed to them on the basis of data processing agreements, and such entities will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the processed data.
7.Data Retention Period
The data will be processed for the period necessary to select the laureates and for the mandatory retention of documentation for archiving purposes.
8.Rights Related to Processing
You have the right to access your data, the right to rectify it, delete it in cases provided for by law, and restrict its processing.
You have the right to object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
No automated decision-making will be carried out based on your personal data.
9.Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.
